The Red Lines
Founded by Albert Andrew Garcia, The Red Lines is a production company based in Brooklyn, NY. We began developing work in 2011 with the production of the original short The Gates of Paradise performed at the gallery arts venue SPACE ON WHITE in Tribeca NYC and fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas. This led to an invitation to produce a short piece for La MaMa ETC for an event curated by The New School. The Red Lines presented, "Alligator"; a new one act performed for 2 nights and was very well received by the event producer as well as the patrons. After spending some time reworking and developing new theatrical pieces, we were accepted into the New Works Festival at The Manhattan Repertory, In Darkness, Our Voices Echo premiered and ran for 4 nights and was well reviewed and received. Which led to producing two new versions of The Gates of Paradise for the Spring New Works Festival at The Manhattan Repertory and for the 2013 Strawberry One Act Festival. In late 2013 a staged reading was held of the new 30 min piece The Tongue I Learned to Pray In at The Ripley Grier Studios. In April 2014 a new one act "Beneath My Skin and Behind My Eyes" was premiered at the Roy Arias Theater for the Midtown International Theater Festival, which was met with great praise and intrigue. In July 2014 " The Retention Cycle - A Play in 3 Parts ". will be produced in association with Stage Left Studio and In August 2014 we will workshop the new work Happy Children, Run Away at the Manhattan Repertory. In February 2015 we will produce a stage reading for the Triangles and Squares Festival presenting the new comedy John and Vanessa '78.
